Duration: 1 day (practical) - for experienced operators

2 days (practical) - for those with little or no experience

Who is the Course For? This course is designed for all those involved in operating and maintaining hydraulic nozzle or rotary atomiser type air blast sprayers. Participants should have attended the course: Safe Use of Pesticides or hold the recognised certificate of competence “Safe Use of Pesticides.

Course Content: General Safety, Preparation of work – general, Checking and fitting pump, Attaching to and removing sprayer from tractor, Cleaning and inspection, Out of season maintenance and storage, Setting and testing application rate, Preparing pesticides and filling sprayer for work, Setting the direction and volume of air, Operation and practice, Spray drift and environmental factors, After work
