Introduction to food hygiene and safety legislation

Certification: CIEH (Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Officers)

Duration 1 day course covering a defined syllabus and assessed by a short objective test consisting of 30 multi-choice questions* 

Who is the Course For? Employees with little or no prior knowledge of current Food Hygiene legislation who require a nationally recognised certificate.  The CIEH recommends refresher training every three years.

Course Content: Introduction to Food Hygiene, Prevention of Contamination and Food Poisoning, Personal Hygiene, Food Pests, Food Safety Legislation, Premises & Equipment, Food Poisoning and Microbiology, Cleaning disinfection

Computer / Oral tests are available to ensure that candidates with learning difficulties can also access the training and achieve success
