Who is the Course For? Comprehensive training for anyone who wishes to control rodents in a commercial environment or undertake pest control predominately in land-based or related industries.

Course Content: Legislation that affects Pest Management, Common terms for using Biocides, Public Health Biocides Product labels, Safe Storage and Transport of Biocides, Disposal of Biocides and Containers, Keeping Biocide Records, Specific Legislation and best practice for the management and control of rats and mice, Target Pest Species, Non-Target Species, Site Surveys, Evaluate Control Options, Control Programmes

NB: There are changes going on at the moment that will affect all users of Rat and Mouse Poisons. The use of products is tightening up and by 1 June 2016 every bait user will have to hold an ‘appropriate’ certificate of training before they can purchase commercial amounts of bait. (Extension offered if member of crop assurance scheme to December 2017).

If you already hold a Lantra Rodent certificate dated 2009 or later this will be sufficient and you can carry on. If not you will only be able to buy ‘amateur’ quantities of 2 kg max.
