Who is the Course For? Anyone employed in agriculture, horticulture, landscaping and grounds maintenance who is involved in the storage, handling and application of pesticides.  Course members should be able to read.  A code of practice specifies the knowledge and skills required of a competent operator. To provide training for those required to undertake the NPTC assessment: PA1 (0216-49-101) – Safe Use of Pesticides

Course Content: Current Legislation, Interpreting labels and literature, Personal Hygiene, Selecting and using protective clothing, Preparing pesticides for use, Storing pesticides, Transport and temporary storage of pesticides, Disposing of empty containers, surplus unused pesticides and washings, Keeping records, Environmental factors
